I am in love with Love. I find it in lyrics & quotes & 'ships. Peyton Manning. Josh Groban. Robert Pattinson. Benedict Cumberbatch. Taeyang (Dong Youngbae) Edward Norton. David Gandy. Braden Carmichael. Sherlock Holmes. Molly Hooper. Sherlolly.
I cared…I gave a $h*t
“I wanna hear my heart as it’s starting to pound
I miss that sound…
BUT IT’S ABOUT TIME I GET OVER IT
I’m sailing my ship away from shore
I need to turn it around before it sinks to the floor”
This conversation (with myself) started when I first heard Taeyang's "Stay With Me" but I'm just finally putting it down because in a recent interview, Taeyang says that he is currently listening to Sam Smith, who coincidentally has a song called "Stay With Me." : )
Anyway, I know GD wrote almost all the lyrics and music for SWM and I'm not saying anyone copied anyone because I love both songs and was ecstatically surprised that Taeyang's and Sam Smith's SWM sounded similar to my ears. I know Taeyang's features GD rapping on about half the song, but Taeyang's parts, where you can really hear the piano chords, sounds to me like the beat/rhythm of Sam Smith's. Such a nice groove on both. What instantly made me connect these two favorite songs of mine was the choir part towards the end. I know the progression of the harmonies (forgive me if I'm describing it wrong) are different on both tracks, but just hearing them (probably my favorite parts) within the song itself kinda conveyed to me the same feeling...an uplifting of spirits if you may. I just got the same overwhelming of feels when I heard this part on both songs.
Well I may be blabbing about nothing, but I would really LOVE to hear a great mashup of these two wonderful songs, if nothing else so I can hear two amazing voices on one track, set to a rocking groove, with an uplifting and soul-stirring choir to bring the feels.
